From LAEF

LAEF Asks: Would You Donate $100 per Month for Small Classes?

You told us in our annual survey that small classes matter. Now we need you to show your support. To save teacher jobs next year, LAEF needs to tell the school district *now* that we'll raise $500,000 more next year than we did this year. Will we? Only if you help.

A donation of $100 per month per child on your credit card for the next year would be a great way to show your support for small classes. Don't forget, it is 100% tax deductible! Click here to donate now, and help us send a message of support for our excellent schools: http://www.LAEFOnline.org

From the PTA

May 17 - 21 is Teacher Appreciation Week!
Rather than limit student and family appreciation activities to one day, we'd like to spread it out over the whole week. Let our teachers know just how much they are loved and appreciated by all of us. Activities and suggestions:
Thursday, May 20: A "pick-me-up" of your choice - a piece of fruit, tea bag, student/teacher photo, a hand-made item
Friday, May 21: Student compliments to their teacher - verbal or written
Have fun! Our teachers are the best!

Don't miss the Hicklebee's Summer Book Fair tonight during Open House
Stop by the Multi tonight from 6-8PM or Friday from 8:30-3PM and stock up on books for summer reading! You are guaranteed to find great books for every reader in your family. Participate in the Covington Summer Reading Contest. Details at www.covingtonschool.org and click the Summer Reading Link.
